UNIFY EFT is a fully automated and PCI compliant authorisation and settlement system.
At stores, EVM level 3 compliant Chip & PIN devices are seamlessly integrated into the CIMS store system solution, delivering sub five-second EFT transaction times even at the busiest peak periods. UNIFY EFT is fully integrated with and forms an integral part of the CIMS EPoS unit. There is no separate card payment voucher and no operator intervention required on the Chip & PIN unit. Payment files are built and maintained on mirrored systems at the UNIFY data centres, not at the stores, so there is no danger of payment files being lost or corrupted.
The EFT service delivers unparalleled levels of resilience through the use of multiple Prologic data centres housed in secure, fully protected and geographically separate environments. The complete failure of a hosted server, total loss at head office, or even the outage of an entire network exchange area will not affect continuity of service at the stores.
As with all UNIFY services, EFT is fully managed. UNIFY EFT eliminates the frustrations and IT overhead normally associated with managing store networks, Chip & PIN devices, payment file security, PCI, EMV and other regulatory compliance issues across an estate of retail stores.
