New release of the multi-channel trading platform for fashion retailers
Prologic, the specialist provider of software and services to the fashion and lifestyle sector, has announced the availability of CIMS Version 8, the latest release of its multi-channel trading platform. CIMS Version 8 has been optimised for the Linux/Intel platform, delivering significant performance benefits at a much lower cost.
CIMS delivers sophisticated merchandising and supply chain capabilities, tailored to meet the specific needs of the fashion and lifestyle sector. The solution addresses retail, wholesale and multi-channel requirements through a single solution, enabling its customers to maximise sales and margin. Coupled with Series8 POS, Prologic provides a scalable, comprehensive solution suitable for retailers with a handful of stores through to those with many hundreds. Version 8 represents the latest generation of a solution that has been serving fashion companies for over 25 years. Fat Face, Paul Smith, Ted Baker and Hobbs are among the first to have deployed this new release.
Beyond the technical and cost of ownership benefits of Version 8, CIMS also has a new look and feel, together with enhanced functionality in the areas of reporting, home shopping, allocation, replenishment, warehousing and stock control.
Tom Fischer, CEO, Prologic comments: "Retailers are facing difficult trading conditions and our customers depend on us to support them with cost effective solutions. Prologic continues to focus on ways to exploit advances in technology, in this case specifically taking advantage of the cost benefits of Linux on an Intel platform. I’m delighted by the momentum this latest version of CIMS has already created."
